Double Membrane Roof for Gas-Tight Repository

This biogasplant in the northwest of Germany benefits from a double membrane roof on a high quality stainless steel tank.

Gas-tight repository

Manufactured from stainless steel, this tank benefit from a gas-tight roof. The gas-proofen double membrane roof is especially suitable for the biogas industry, since the separated membranes guarantee a low permeability of gas as well as a strong UV-stability. The main gas building takes place in the main digester but even in the digestate storage methane might arise. This depends on several factors such as temperature and dwell time. In this case the double membrane roof is the perfect choice!

Double membrane roof allows to store biogas

Due to the ball shape of the fermenter, the volume of the gas storage reaches a high level. So it is possible to use the repository as additional gas storage. This might be valuable in exceptional situations. The inner membrane reacts flexible according to the gas level. Even at very low gas levels it is ensured that the membrane does not dip into the biomass. The outer membrane is supported by a fan that constantly holds tension. It offers full protection against emissions.
