Continuous stirred tank reactors (CSTRs) are of high interest for industrial biogas plants e.g. being part of a waste water treatment plant (WWTP).
CSTRs for production waste
The first two continuous stirred tank reactors made of stainless steel are now comleted. They are integrated in a company-owned waste and sewage treatment plant of a food producer in Germany. With the new digesters they can make the most of their energetic production residues. On the one hand, they can cut energy costs and on the other hand they can improve their ecological footprint. In this context, two CSTRs became necessary and the decision was made for two stainless steel digesters by Stallkamp. Read the whole project report.
Follow-up projects in the works
As the first two tanks are successfully completed, Stallkamp focuses on follow-up projects. Three more CSTRs are under construction on a biogas plant in Denmark right now.
